Prof. Ioannou is a strategy scholar whose research focuses on Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). More specifically, he seeks to understand whether, how, and the extent to which the modern business organization contributes towards building a sustainable future.
He graduated magna cum laude from Yale University, majoring in Economics and Mathematics and holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University and the Harvard Business School. Prof. Ioannou regularly publishes in top-tier peer-reviewed academic journals and due to the popularity and impact of his research, he consistently ranks in the top 10% authors on the social science research network (SSRN).
He is also very active on social media and a frequent contributor to articles in the popular and managerial press including outlets such as the Financial Times, Bloomberg, The Guardian, BBC, Le Monde, and Forbes. He has also been recognized by a number of rankings as one of the top social media influencers around the world for issues of responsible business and sustainability.
Alexandros is the Vice President of Student Services and an Associate Professor of Management at the University of Nicosia (CY). He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics & Statistics with Management from Brunel University of West London [UK], an MSc in Quality Management and a PhD in Quality & Process Improvement from Cranfield University [UK].
Alexandros is a founding member and the Chairman of the Cyprus Network for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR Cyprus), a non-profit business network and Cyprus’ National Partner Organisation of CSR Europe. He is a Certified Entrepreneurship Facilitator by the Entrepreneurship Learning Initiative (USA) and an active European Excellence Assessor and Validator for the EFQM Excellence Model, a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also a certified VET Trainer by Human Resources Development Authority (CY).
Before joining the University of Nicosia as the Director of the Consultancy Unit, Alexandros has worked at INTRALOT (GR) as the Quality Manager (2006-2010), Lamda Infrastructure Finance SA (GR) as the Head of Quality & Process Improvement (2001-2006), and as a Lecturer (2002-2009) at the American College of Greece (GR). As a Management Consultant, Alexandros has been involved in many performance and quality improvement projects for many public and private organisations.
Alexandros has been involved in several European funded projects including CSR Matrix, LOQUET, Growing on Ethics and APPHELP. As Chairman of CSR Cyprus is being involved in the implementation of the European Pact 4 Youth (EP4Y) initiative in Cyprus.
He has considerable graduate and undergraduate teaching experience and has published and presented many research papers in national and international journals and conferences. His research interests include corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, business excellence, business ethics, entrepreneurship, and quality management.
Constantine Manasakis is economist (MBA, PhD), Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science, University of Crete (06/2015 – ), Adjunct Professor, Hellenic Open University, Master in Business Administration (MΒΑ), and Research Affiliate at the Düsseldorf Institute for Competition Economics, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, Düsseldorf (07/2013 – ).
He holds a B.A. from the Department of Economics, University of Athens (2000), a Joint Engineering-Economics MBA from the School of Electrical Engineering, National Technical University of Athens (2003), and Ph.D. in Economics from the Department of Economics,University of Crete (2007). His current research interests focus on Industrial Organization and Policy, Business Strategy and Strategic Management.

He has participated in European and Greek granted Research and Development Projects, and offered consulting services to a large number of enterprises and organizations.
Pavlos A. Vlachos is Associate Professor of Marketing at ALBA Graduate Business School, The American College of Greece. He is also serving as a Temporary Member of the Graduate Faculty of The University of Alabama. He has served as the academic director of the Alba MBA (AMBA accredited) and his teaching includes Research Methods, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Analytics and Corporate Social Responsibility.
His current research focuses in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. Among others his work has appeared in Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Industrial Marketing Management, International Journal of Human Resource Management, European Journal of Information Systems, European Journal of Marketing, and International Journal of Electronic Commerce.
His work has been cited in top and leading journals including Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Information Systems Research, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Management Studies, Personnel Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management International Journal of Research in Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Business Ethics among others. He consistently ranks in the top 10% of business authors on the social science research network.
Jan Noterdaeme, Co-Founder in 1996 of CSR Europe, a Network of corporate members and National Partner Organisations engaging 10.000 enterprises across Europe on Corporate Social Responsibility. On behalf of the European C’homme’Pany Jan now acts as Senior Advisor – External Relations for CSR Europe and as Maître de Conférence at the Catholic University of Louvain.
As from 1997 Jan played a leading role in the establishment by business leaders and deans of$ universities and business schools of what is now the Academy of Business in Society (ABIS). Since March 2007, Jan is Maître de Conférence at the Catholic University of Louvain where he co-founded with Professor Valérie Swaen the Louvain CSR Network. Since 2010, Jan is chairing the Stakeholder Jury of the Philippe’de’Woot International Inter –University Award on CSR.
